April Challenge
April 10-30th
5 ways to earn points through April challenge.
1. Coaches Challenge (starts April 14th). Coaches will release a tutorial video of certain skills with specific P.R.E.P.S points to focus on. Practice these skills at home. Points will be awarded if all guidelines are satisfied. First video will be released April 14th. Can be completed daily for points.
2. Practice at home (starts April 10th): Similar to March Challenge, however point values will be downsized in April.
3. Academy Traits (starts April 10th): Memorize a mantra for each academy trait, record a video of that trait memorized and upload it.
4. Special Skills (starts April 14th): There will be two special skills announced per week, students will have till the end of the month to learn these skills AND complete the challenge for these skills.
5. Wushu Goals (starts April 10th): Reach a goal and you will be awarded a jackpot of points (+700 pts). Every student is only allowed to choose up to 2 goals during this April Challenge. If you have reached these goals in the past before you will not be qualified to earn points with that goal. While you get 700 pts awarded to your account (at the end of April Challenge), only 300 points of the 700 points will apply to the April Challenge total.

Important: Earning points require video uploads. All of the tasks will require an uploaded video or photo. You can upload them HERE.
Rules:

Description: Earn points while getting help from the coaches. Coaches will share with you a video of certain skills. Students must perform these skills exactly as demonstrated in the video. The key points will revolve around PREPS and the expectations for each movements will be clearly stated in each challenge video. We encourage you to try your best and complete this challenge as this furthermore help you in improving your Wushu! Starts April 14th.
Rules:
1. All key points in the video must be fulfilled.
2. The sequence of movements for any combo or form must be correct.
3. Request points per your sash level.
Points 1 and 2 above must be fulfilled in order to earn points.

Description: Being a good martial artists does not just mean developing good Wushu skills. It also means building good character. Every academy trait (10 total) has an academy mantra, which are short phrases that will help as a guide for students in demonstrating these traits as they grow. Memorize these mantras with a partner!
Rules: Students should perform this challenge with a partner (parent or sibling). The partner will recite the text in green. Students will respond with the text in blue. The challenge is that the student must have their half of the mantra memorized. The partner does not have to have their part memorized.
There are two levels for this challenge.
Level EASY (15 points each): Record video of student and partner reciting the mantras for EACH trait. Student must have their portion memorized. Each video only needs to include a SINGLE trait. Can be redeemed daily (New Change)
Level HARD (300 points): Record video of student and partner reciting mantras in order. Student MUST have all 10 traits memorized and can only make 3 mistakes for the entire video. Can only be redeemed once.

5. For now, we will only share with you the topic of these special skills. Links will be released on the dates mentioned below.
6. Points can only be awarded ONCE per special skill.

5. Wushu Goals (300 points each for April Challenge. Additional 400 points per goal when April challenge is over)
This one is an interesting challenge! You can declare up to 2 goals to complete for April. You can see the list of goals below. You cannot select a skill that you currently have reached (our coaches know all of you quite well) OR a skill you have achieved in the past.
Rules: Choose 2 goals, and fill out the form below with your selected skill. You must receive our approval for the goals before proceeding (we will contact you). You have till April 30th to reach these goals. Different sides count as separate goals.
Example: If you have completed one of the goals on the left side in the past, this wouldn't disqualify you from completing it on the right side.
1. Left Head to Toe - leg must be straight, must hold for 10 seconds. Video must be clear that you hold it for 10 seconds, legs are straight and head is touching. (All levels)
